Frequently Asked Questions

How do I report a bug?

Use the contact form above and select "Bug Report" as the subject. Include the tool name, the steps you took before the error occurred, the browser and operating system you are using, and a screenshot if possible. The more detail you provide, the faster we can reproduce and fix the issue. You can also email us directly at hello@slashgit.com with the same information.

Can I request a new tool or feature?

Absolutely! We love hearing what developers need. Select "Feature Request" in the form, describe the tool or feature you have in mind, and explain how it would fit into your workflow. We review every suggestion and prioritize based on community interest. Many of the tools currently on SlashGit started as user requests, so your idea could become reality.

Is SlashGit free to use?

Yes. Every tool, game, and utility on SlashGit is completely free and always will be. We believe developer tools should be accessible to everyone regardless of budget. The platform is supported through unobtrusive advertising, which allows us to keep the lights on while continuing to build and maintain new tools for the community.

How is my data handled?

Privacy is a core principle at SlashGit. The vast majority of our tools run entirely in your browser — your data never leaves your device. For tools that require server processing, such as the file transfer utility, data is encrypted in transit, stored only temporarily, and automatically purged. We do not sell, share, or mine your data. You can read our full Privacy Policy for more details.

Can I contribute to SlashGit?

We are always open to contributions and collaborations. Whether you are a developer who wants to build a tool, a designer with UI ideas, or a writer who would like to help with documentation, reach out using the form above or email us. We are also interested in hearing from educators and open-source maintainers who want to integrate SlashGit tools into their projects or curricula.
